yes, to start. the free tier gives you 6 sounds — three water, three nature — one Magic Mix a day, and up to 3 saved mixes, free forever. Resonate Pro unlocks all 65 soundscapes, unlimited Magic Mixes, and unlimited saved mixes.
how much is Resonate Pro?
Resonate Pro costs $2.99 a month, $14.99 a year with a 7-day free trial, or $24.99 once for lifetime access. prices are localized by the App Store, so you'll see your own currency at checkout.
does it work with Family Sharing?
yes. every plan — monthly, yearly, and lifetime — can be shared with your family group at no extra cost.
do I need AirPods for spatial audio?
no. any headphones get the full 3D spatial rendering. compatible AirPods add Personalised Spatial Audio, which uses the ear profile scanned from your own ears. on speakers, Resonate plays clean stereo instead. more on how this works in spatial audio, explained.
does Resonate work offline?
completely. every sound ships inside the app — nothing streams, nothing needs an account or a connection.
does audio keep playing in the background?
yes. audio keeps playing with the screen locked or while you use other apps, and the sleep timer keeps counting. on iOS 26.4 and later, a Live Activity shows the countdown on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island.
what is Magic Mix?
type how you feel — "rainy night by the fire" — and Resonate picks and arranges the sound layers for you. it runs entirely on your device; no internet needed.
what is Resonance Touch?
haptics synced to each sound's waveform, so you can feel the rain land. it's free for everyone and off by default — turn it on in Settings when you want it.
what happens to my data?
nothing, because none is collected. the App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected": no accounts, no servers, no trackers. everything stays on your phone. the full policy is at privacy — it's short, because there's nothing to disclose.
which devices and languages does it support?
Resonate runs on iPhone with iOS 17.0 or later (home-screen widgets and the Live Activity need iOS 26.4 or later), in 12 languages.
